Allied Churches of Alamance County (ACAC) will soon begin a kitchen renovation. This is good news for ACAC and good news for hundreds of shelter guests and community members that eat here every day. However, with that good news comes a new challenge. We will not be able to prepare and serve food from our kitchen for eight weeks, from July 6, 2015 – August 31, 2015.
We estimate that it will cost more than $40,000 to bring in prepared food from commercial kitchens during this eight week period. ACAC will serve approximately 15,000 meals during that time.
